We believe that the dental care is one of the key elements to maintain a long and healthy life in animals. Dental procedures may involve a multitude of tasks depending upon the severity of individual case ranging from minor scaling operations to major mandibular reconstructions. It is our goal to start dental care early in a patient’s life to prevent gingivitis and ultimately the loss of teeth. At some point, most pets will develop enough tartar that a dental prophylaxis (cleaning) needs to be done. So, we do the procedure with them under anesthesia. This helps to reduce stress and discomfort for the patient. A thorough dental cleaning is the best way to prevent and treat dental disease.
